Apple confirmed on October 23 that the iPhone Duo reaches 50 percent charge in approximately 20 minutes via a wired connection. The speed depends on using the USB-C cable included in the box alongside a power adapter capable of delivering 60 watts.
The company's support documents list the 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max as a compatible first-party option. That unit is priced at $34. Users may also select third-party chargers rated for 60 watts or higher. Apple requires that these external units support Adjustable Voltage Supply and USB Power Delivery 3.2.
Wireless charging offers a slower but still rapid alternative. The device reaches 50 percent in about 30 minutes when paired with a MagSafe Charger or a 35W adapter. Apple recommends its own MagSafe Charger, priced at $30, or compatible units from Anker.
Reporters note that third-party hardware often provides better value. Anker's 100W charging brick is cited as a versatile option that works with iPhones, Macs, and iPads. The writer also identifies Apple's discounted 2-meter USB-C cable as a useful accessory for users who need more reach than the standard in-box cable provides.
The specification details clarify the minimum hardware needed to access the fastest charging speeds available for the new dual-display iPhone model.
