A routine commute turned violent on a Thursday afternoon when a man was left bleeding on a sidewalk in Brooklyn. Detectives from the 69th Precinct are searching for three individuals responsible for the incident.

At approximately 3 p.m. on October 29, gunfire rang out at the corner of East 92nd Street and Farragut Road in Canarsie. Officers arrived to find a 40-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his right leg. Medical workers transported him to Brookdale University Hospital in stable condition.

Law enforcement sources indicated that road rage likely triggered the exchange. The Emergency Services Unit collected three shell casings at the scene. Witnesses reported seeing the three suspects flee in a silver sedan that was last spotted traveling along East 91st Street.

Police confirmed the investigation was ongoing as of Friday morning, with no arrests yet made. The precinct reported eight shooting incidents year to date through October 25, a decrease from 11 during the same period last year.
