Eric Dane’s posthumous memoir, “My Book of Days: A Memoir in Moments,” goes on sale on Nov. 3. The book will be available in hardcover, e-book, and audiobook formats. The audiobook features narration by Jacob Elordi, who played Dane’s son in the HBO series “Euphoria.”
Dane, who died at age 53 on February 19, 2026, from ALS, began writing the book in the months after his 2023 diagnosis. He continued working on the manuscript until the end of his life. The memoir is structured around specific days, each detailing a defining experience or emotional truth from his career and personal life.
The text covers his early years in Hollywood, his journey to sobriety, and his battle with the disease. It also includes sections addressed to his daughters, Billie, 16, and Georgia, 15. According to the book’s synopsis, these “future days” are intended for the girls to read and remember. The work serves as a guide for cherishing time, noting that each day is both a story and a gift.
Maria Shriver, 70, whose imprint The Open Field is publishing the book, also narrates portions of the audiobook. Shriver stated she was honored that Dane chose her imprint for the project. She recalled that Dane wanted his family to know how much he loved them and to leave behind a story they could be proud of.
The audiobook has a runtime of 5 hours and 53 minutes. It is available on Audible. New subscribers can start a one-month Premium Plus trial for free. This trial includes one credit that can be used on any book in the catalog, including this memoir. If a user cancels the membership, the selected book remains in their library.
Dane and Elordi portrayed Cal and Nate Jacobs in all three seasons of “Euphoria.” The pairing in the memoir’s audio format references their on-screen relationship. The release marks the first major publication since Dane’s death eight months ago.
