Jay-Z will perform the halftime show for Super Bowl LXI on Feb. 14, 2027. The NFL, Apple Music, and the artist announced the booking on Monday. The game is scheduled for SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Roc Nation, Jay-Z's company, produces the halftime show. The firm signed a five-year extension to keep the role through 2029. Since taking over in 2019, the shows have focused more on hip-hop and rap. Last year's performance at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, featured Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, and Ricky Martin.
Los Angeles last hosted a Super Bowl halftime show in 2022. That event included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. It also featured cameos by 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak. Other recent headliners include Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024, and Rihanna in 2023.
Jay-Z has not performed at the Super Bowl before. The 25-time Grammy winner is currently touring to mark the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint. The Jay-Z 30 Tour began in July with three nights at Yankee Stadium.
The tour continued with two shows in London and one in Paris in September. The final scheduled shows took place on Oct. 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium. Those dates effectively served as a warm-up for his upcoming performance at the same venue in February.
