The growth of youth soccer in Maryland has created a new market for structured development services. Ashley Randow, owner of Warrior Soccer Training in White Marsh, is launching the Whole Player Project in January 2027. The initiative targets female athletes between the ages of 12 and 18.

Randow identified a gap between the rising expectations of youth leagues and the personal support systems available to players. She noted that premier leagues now place demands on young girls comparable to those faced by college and professional athletes. The program addresses the mental and personal challenges associated with these elevated standards.

The 12-month curriculum introduces a new topic each month. Subjects include identity, confidence, and handling setbacks. Each module features input from a Division I college player currently facing similar pressures. The design aims to help participants reach peak performance while building character.

Current athletes in Randow’s training program described the specific pressures the program addresses. Addison cited confidence as a primary challenge. Bella identified the fear of disappointing others and the frequency of mental setbacks. Chelsea highlighted the difficulty of maintaining confidence after making mistakes during games or practice.

The program offers two pricing tiers. A digital option costs $40 per month. An in-person option costs $150 per month. Applications for the founding cohort are open until November 12, 2026.

Elyse Deleyer, one of the athletes training with Randow, stated that the program helps her feel a sense of value on the field. She expressed a goal of joining the Washington Spirit. Randow said the program invests deeply in girls who desire to grow, focusing on developing the person behind the player.
