The National Football Conference East Division has gone winless for two consecutive weeks, a statistical anomaly that has not occurred since the 1970 merger.

This winless stretch sets the backdrop for Monday night's matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles in Philadelphia.

Both teams enter the contest with a 2-4 record, trailing only the New York Giants, who hold a 3-2-1 mark.

The Eagles are riding a four-game losing streak, their first of that length since 2020.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts is on injured reserve with blood clots and is expected to miss the remainder of the season.

Tanner McKee, who served as a backup for his first two professional seasons, will lead the offense.

McKee noted that he has a solid preparation process and intends to consult with the coaching staff frequently.

The Eagles' running game faces complications as Saquon Barkley misses time with a hamstring injury.

Backups Will Shipley and Tank Bigsby are also injured, while Carson Steele hurt his shoulder in the previous game.

Dameon Pierce was the only healthy running back last week, gaining 35 yards on the ground.

The Cowboys rank 30th in the league in defense under first-year coordinator Christian Parker.
