Real Madrid players returned to winning form after a 3-0 away victory against Racing de Santander at El Sardinero. The result marked the club's sixth consecutive win in official matches, a streak that had not occurred in the previous twelve months under different management.

The winning run began at the Santiago Bernabéu with a 1-0 win over Villarreal. Yan Diomande scored the goal in that match, which also featured a four-game suspension for Vinícius. The team followed that home result with away wins against Roma and Barcelona, and home victories over Sevilla and RB Leipzig.

Manager Jose Mourinho has guided the squad through this sequence of results. The early season included a loss in the derby against Atletico Madrid, which had raised questions about team stability before the recent international break. The current form has addressed those initial concerns.

The club faces a demanding schedule before the next international break. Real Madrid plays AEK Athens in the Champions League on Wednesday and hosts Valencia in LaLiga on Saturday. The coaching staff views this upcoming stretch as a critical test.

Last year provides a direct historical reference for this fixture list. On November 1, 2025, the team managed by Xabi Alonso also achieved six straight wins. That previous streak included victories over Kairat Almaty, Villarreal, Getafe, Juventus, Barcelona, and Valencia.

The 2025 season showed how quickly momentum can shift. After that initial run, the team recorded only two wins in eight matches from November through December. Those losses saw Real Madrid cede the LaLiga lead to Barcelona and drop to seventh place in the Champions League after defeats to Liverpool, Celta, and Manchester City.
